The iPhone 15 Ultra will not finally arrive this year, Apple will finally wait until next year to introduce this brand new model that is more powerful than the others.

For several weeks, there have been several reports of the arrival of the highly anticipated “Ultra” model in the Apple iPhone range. While journalist Mark Gurman initially thought that the iPhone 15 Pro Max would change its name, the latter has released a new report that provides more details on the new model.
In a new Power On newsletter, Mark Gurman announced that Apple would consider introducing the new model in 2024 instead of the .15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Apple could have released five iPhones in 2024
Rather than rebranding the iPhone 16 Pro Max to the iPhone 16 Ultra, Apple is said to be considering adding a third option to the Pro line, as some customers look for a more premium and more affordable smartphone every year. This means that Apple will release 5 models next year: iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max, and iPhone 16 Ultra.
Among the special features that can be expected from this new model, Gurman believes that it could offer some camera improvements, a faster chip, and a bigger screen than ever before. He even hints that the model features a completely portless design, with no Lightning or USB-C. We have been hearing about the iPhone with 100% wireless connectivity for several years now. Like the iPhone 15 Pro Max, there will also be a periscope camera, but we don’t know if Apple can increase the number of image sensors to 4 in this Ultra model.
Introducing an all-new model, it’s also not impossible for Apple to break away from its ‘Plus’ model, which appears to have been as disastrously successful as the old ‘mini’. After Apple witnessed a drop in its sales in the last quarter of 2022, it is not impossible that the American giant decides to focus entirely on the best-selling versions, namely the Pro models.
